Family Fork · Effective date: 6 July 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “the user”) and Outpost Labs Pty Ltd (ACN 696 667 464, ABN 79 696 667 464) (“we”, “us”, or “Outpost Labs”) governing your use of the Family Fork mobile application (“the App”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by creating or joining a family within the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.
These Terms also serve as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App within the meaning of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Outpost Labs only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Outpost Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content. These Terms may not provide for usage rules that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions as of the date you agreed to these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Outpost Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. This licence does not allow you to use the App on any device that you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of the App, any updates, or any part thereof, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Family Fork is a shared meal planner organised around a single family group. To use the App you sign in with Sign in with Apple, which creates an account managed through our identity provider (see our Privacy Policy).
The App uses two roles, which determine what each member can do:
Additional adults join a family as Parents using an invite code shared by a Parent. Children do not join with their own accounts: a Parent creates and manages each child as a profile within the family, as described below.
Child profiles are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. The App is intended to be set up and administered by an adult. Where a family includes children, a Parent creates and manages each child’s profile. By creating a child profile within your family, you confirm that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian, that you consent to their use of the App, and that you are responsible for supervising their use of it and for the information associated with their profile.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and device secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account and under any child profiles you administer. You agree that the information you provide when creating a family and its members is accurate.
The App is offered on a subscription basis. A subscription is per family: one paying member unlocks the App’s subscription features for all members of that family.
The App is available worldwide through the App Store. Prices are shown here in Australian Dollars; the App Store will display and charge the equivalent price in your local currency, which may differ due to exchange rates, local taxes, and App Store pricing. Prices may be adjusted from time to time. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after the change is communicated.
Important subscription terms: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s refund policies.
We may offer a free trial period for a subscription plan. During the free trial, you have full access to the App’s subscription features. If you do not cancel before the free trial ends, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fee. You can cancel the free trial at any time through your App Store Account Settings.
Free trials are available once per Apple ID. If you have previously redeemed a free trial for this App, you may not be eligible for another free trial.
The App lets you and your family create and store content, including meal names and details, ingredients, cooking methods, notes, weekly plans, lunch selections, meal photos, and recipe links or text you choose to import (“Your Content”).
You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant Outpost Labs a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, reproduce, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App to you and your family — for example, syncing your plan across devices, generating your shopping list, and structuring a recipe you import. This licence exists only to run the service for you and ends when you delete the content or your family, except for backups retained for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content, and you represent that you have the rights necessary to provide it. You agree not to upload or import content that:
We do not routinely monitor Your Content, but we may remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or applicable law.
The App can take a recipe URL or block of recipe text that you provide and use an automated service to convert it into a structured list of ingredients and method steps. This is a convenience feature.
Not dietary, allergen, nutritional, or medical advice. Meals, ingredients, and imported or automatically parsed recipes are provided for meal-planning convenience only. Automated parsing may be incomplete or inaccurate, and the App does not identify allergens, dietary suitability, or nutritional content. You are solely responsible for checking ingredients and preparation for allergies, intolerances, dietary requirements, and food safety before cooking or serving any meal — especially for children. If you have any doubt, consult the original recipe and, where relevant, a qualified health professional.
When you import a recipe from a third-party source, you are responsible for complying with that source’s terms. Imported recipe content remains subject to the rights of its original author or publisher; the import feature is for your family’s personal, non-commercial use only.
You agree not to:
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, store, and protect information. In summary: Family Fork runs a secure cloud service, hosted in Australia, to sync your family’s plans across devices; we collect the minimum information needed to provide the App; parents control their children’s profiles; and we never sell your information.
The App, including its design, code, content, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by Outpost Labs Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except for the limited licence described in Section 2. This does not affect your ownership of Your Content under Section 6.
You and Outpost Labs acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Outpost Labs, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
Outpost Labs is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the App, if any. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
We endeavour to keep the App available and compatible with current iOS versions, but we do not guarantee any specific update schedule or that the App will always be available or error-free. For support inquiries, please contact us at support@outpostlabs.com.au.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
Without limiting the foregoing, Outpost Labs does not warrant that:
You acknowledge that, in the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Outpost Labs’ sole responsibility.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Outpost Labs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if Outpost Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Outpost Labs’ total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to Outpost Labs for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Subject to the paragraph below and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Outpost Labs is not liable for any allergic reaction, illness, or other harm arising from meals planned, cooked, or served using the App. You are responsible for checking ingredients and food safety, as described in Section 7.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Australian law.
You and Outpost Labs acknowledge that Outpost Labs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of the App, including but not limited to: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a United States Government embargo or that has been designated by the United States Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (b) you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
These Terms are effective until terminated. If you materially breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access to the App; where the breach is capable of being remedied, we will where practicable give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy it first. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App.
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account and your family’s data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend, discontinue, or materially change the App. If we terminate your access other than for your serious breach, or discontinue or materially change the App, and this affects a prepaid subscription, you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of your prepaid period through the App Store in accordance with Apple’s refund policies. If we discontinue the App entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice and to allow you to export your family’s data.
You and Outpost Labs acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via an app update.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
The App is available internationally. If you use the App as a consumer outside Australia, you may be entitled to the benefit of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights you have under such mandatory local laws where they cannot be excluded by agreement. In particular, where the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring or defend proceedings in the courts of that country, the exclusive-jurisdiction provision above does not deprive you of that right.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intent.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Outpost Labs regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
